Privacy Policy

Atlantic Spatial (“we”, “us”) is an independent consultancy based in Prince Edward Island, Canada. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and how we handle it. We follow the principles of Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information we collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to send us through the contact form:

• your name and email address (required);
• your organization and phone number (optional);
• the service you are interested in and the project description you write.

To protect the form from abuse, our server temporarily holds your IP address in memory for up to 15 minutes to limit repeated submissions. It is not stored in a database or used for any other purpose.

Cookies, analytics and tracking

This website does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Fonts are served from our own website, and the demonstration map uses data hosted on this site, so your browser does not contact third-party font or map services when you visit. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy first.

How we use your information

• to read and respond to your enquiry;
• to prepare a proposal or quote if you ask for one;
• to keep a record of our correspondence with you.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we will not add you to a mailing list without your express consent.

Service providers

We rely on the following types of service providers to operate this website:

• Website hosting provider: Serves the website and runs the contact form endpoint. Like most hosts, it may keep short-term technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
• Email delivery provider (for example, Resend) or form-forwarding service: Delivers the contents of the contact form to our inbox. It processes the information you submit only to deliver it.

Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country. We choose providers that commit to protecting the information they handle.

Retention

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and for reasonable business record-keeping, and no longer than two years after our last communication, unless the enquiry leads to a project, in which case it forms part of the project record.

Security

The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to enquiries is limited to people at Atlantic Spatial who need it to respond. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive personal information through the form.

Your choices and rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it, subject to any legal record-keeping obligations. To make a request, contact us by email at ben@atlanticspatial.ca or through our contact form.

We may update this policy if our website or services change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
